달군 팬에 물방울이 동글동글 굴러다니는 그거
라이덴프로스트 효과
팬이 아주 뜨거우면 물방울 아래쪽이 바로 증기가 돼서 얇은 증기 쿠션이 생겨요. 물방울이 그 위에 떠서 굴러다니고 오히려 천천히 증발해요. 18세기 독일 의사 라이덴프로스트가 기록해서 이 이름이 붙었어요.

Leidenfrost effect · Why water droplets skate around a hot pan
On a very hot pan, the bottom of a droplet turns to vapor instantly, forming a thin cushion of steam. The droplet floats and skates on it, evaporating more slowly. It's named after the 18th-century German doctor Leidenfrost, who described it.
