작은 스피커로도 낮은 음이 들리는 이유
잃어버린 기본음
악기나 목소리에는 가장 낮은 기본음과 그 배수의 높은 소리들이 함께 들어 있어요. 기본음을 빼고 높은 소리들만 들려줘도 뇌가 그 간격을 보고 원래 낮은 음을 알아들어요. 그래서 낮은 소리가 잘 안 나오는 전화기나 작은 스피커로도 남자 목소리가 낮게 들려요.

The missing fundamental · How tiny speakers still give you low notes
Instruments and voices contain a lowest fundamental tone plus higher multiples of it. Remove the fundamental and the brain still hears it from the spacing of the higher tones. That's why a man's voice still sounds low on a phone or small speaker that can't play low notes.
