정확도 99% 검사에서 양성이 나와도 병이 아닐 수 있는 이유
기저율 오류
1만 명 중 1명만 걸리는 병을 정확도 99% 검사로 보면, 병 없는 사람 중 약 100명도 양성이 나와요. 그래서 양성이 나와도 진짜 환자일 확률은 1%쯤밖에 안 돼요. 원래 얼마나 흔한지(기저율)를 빼먹고 판단하는 착각이라 '기저율 오류'라고 불러요.

Base rate fallacy · Why a positive result on a 99% accurate test may still mean you're fine
If a disease hits 1 in 10,000 people and a test is 99% accurate, about 100 healthy people out of 10,000 also test positive. So a positive result means only about a 1% chance you're actually sick. Ignoring how common something is to begin with is called the base rate fallacy.
