통화할 때 '응, 응' 안 하면 상대가 불안해하는 이유

듣는 사람이 '응', '아~', '그렇지' 하고 짧게 끼어드는 말은 '잘 듣고 있어요'라는 신호예요. 언어학에선 '백채널'이라고 불러요. 얼굴이 안 보이는 통화에서 맞장구가 없으면 말하는 사람이 '듣고 있어?' 하고 확인하게 돼요.
