노래 가사를 엉뚱하게 잘못 듣는 그거
몬더그린
노래 가사나 말을 비슷한 소리의 다른 말로 잘못 알아듣는 걸 몬더그린이라고 해요. 1954년 미국 작가 실비아 라이트가 어릴 때 옛 노래의 '그를 풀밭에 눕혔네'를 '몬더그린 아가씨'로 들었다는 글에서 이름이 왔어요. 뇌가 애매한 소리를 아는 말로 채워 넣으려 해서 생겨요.

A mondegreen is mishearing lyrics or speech as similar-sounding words. The name comes from a 1954 essay by American writer Sylvia Wright, who as a child heard 'laid him on the green' as 'Lady Mondegreen'. The brain fills unclear sounds with words it knows.
