In English
Hick's law · Why more menu items mean slower choices
The more choices you have, the longer it takes to decide, though it grows slowly, roughly logarithmically, not in direct proportion. It comes from experiments by Hick in 1952 and Hyman in 1953, so it's also called the Hick–Hyman law. That's why apps and remotes keep only the most-used options up front.
