Cunningham's law · Post a wrong answer to get the right one fast
The fastest way to get the right answer online is not to ask but to post the wrong answer. People skip questions but can't resist correcting mistakes. It's named after wiki inventor Ward Cunningham, though it was actually a colleague who phrased it based on his remarks.
