무어의 법칙
인텔을 함께 세운 고든 무어는 1965년 칩에 들어가는 트랜지스터 수가 해마다 두 배로 는다고 봤고, 1975년에 2년마다로 고쳐 말했어요. 자연법칙이 아니라 업계가 목표처럼 따라온 흐름이에요. 반도체가 원자 크기에 가까워지면서 요즘은 속도가 느려졌다는 말이 많아요.

Moore's law · Why computers kept doubling in power every couple of years
Intel co-founder Gordon Moore predicted in 1965 that the number of transistors on a chip would double every year, revising it to every two years in 1975. It isn't a law of nature but a trend the industry chased like a target. As chips approach atomic scales, many say it has slowed.
