늦어진 프로젝트에 사람을 더 넣으면 더 늦어진다
브룩스의 법칙
새로 온 사람은 일을 익히는 데 시간이 걸리고, 기존 사람들은 가르치느라 바빠지고, 사람이 늘수록 서로 맞춰야 할 일도 많아져요. IBM에서 큰 프로젝트를 이끈 프레드 브룩스가 1975년 책 《맨먼스 미신》에 쓴 말이에요. '아기를 낳는 데 엄마 아홉 명이 있어도 한 달에 안 된다'는 비유로도 유명해요.

Brooks's law · Adding people to a late project makes it later
Newcomers need time to ramp up, veterans get pulled into training them, and more people means more coordination. Fred Brooks, who led a huge IBM project, wrote this in his 1975 book The Mythical Man-Month. He's also known for noting that nine women can't make a baby in one month.
