안 쓰는 물건이 아이콘으로 남은 그거
저장 아이콘 플로피 디스크
저장 버튼 모양인 네모난 플로피 디스크는 요즘 거의 아무도 안 쓰지만 아이콘으로는 계속 남아 있어요. 전화 아이콘의 수화기, 메일의 편지봉투도 마찬가지예요. 옛 물건 모양을 빌려 와 기능을 알아보기 쉽게 하는 걸 디자인에선 '스큐어모피즘'이라고 해요.

The floppy disk save icon · Objects nobody uses that live on as icons
Almost nobody uses floppy disks anymore, yet the save icon still looks like one. The phone icon's handset and the mail envelope are the same story. In design, borrowing the look of old physical objects to make a function recognizable is called skeuomorphism.
