사막은 공기가 메마르고 구름이 거의 없어서 낮에 데워진 땅의 열이 밤에 하늘로 그대로 빠져나가요. 수증기가 열을 붙잡아 주지 못하니 기온이 확 떨어져요. 하루 사이 기온 차가 수십 도가 되기도 해요.
