바이킹은 뿔 달린 투구를 쓰지 않았다
뿔 달린 바이킹 투구
바이킹 시대 투구 중 뿔이 달린 건 발견된 적이 없어요. 뿔 투구 이미지는 1876년 바그너의 오페라 〈니벨룽의 반지〉 무대 의상에서 퍼졌다는 게 정설이에요. 싸울 때 뿔은 걸리적거리기만 했을 거예요.

No Viking Age helmet with horns has ever been found. The image is generally traced to costumes for Wagner's opera cycle The Ring of the Nibelung in 1876. In battle, horns would only have gotten in the way.
