'말은 7%만 전달된다'는 건 사실이 아니에요
메라비언 법칙의 오해
말의 내용은 7%, 목소리는 38%, 표정은 55%라는 '메라비언 법칙'이 자주 인용돼요. 그런데 1960년대 메라비언의 실험은 단어 몇 개로 좋고 싫은 감정을 전할 때, 말과 표정이 서로 어긋나는 경우만 다룬 거예요. 메라비언 본인도 모든 대화에 이 숫자를 쓰면 안 된다고 했어요.

The '7% words, 38% tone, 55% body language' rule is quoted everywhere. But Albert Mehrabian's 1960s studies only looked at single words expressing like or dislike when words and expression conflicted. Mehrabian himself says the numbers don't apply to communication in general.
