자리 가까운 사람과 친해지는 이유
근접성 효과
물리적으로 가까이 있고 자주 마주치는 사람과 친구가 되기 쉬운 현상이에요. 1950년 페스팅거 연구진이 MIT 기숙사 주민들을 조사해 보니, 친한 친구로 꼽힌 사람은 바로 옆집이나 같은 계단을 쓰는 이웃이 많았어요. 짝꿍이나 옆자리 동료와 친해지는 것도 같은 이유예요.

The proximity effect · Why you befriend the people who sit near you
We tend to become friends with people we're physically close to and run into often. In a 1950 study of MIT student housing, Festinger and colleagues found residents' close friends were often next-door neighbors or people sharing a stairway. It's why seatmates become friends.
