일 잘하던 사람이 승진하고 나서 헤매는 이유
피터의 원리
조직에선 일을 잘하면 승진하는데, 새 자리에서도 잘하면 또 올라가요. 그러다 결국 더는 잘하지 못하는 자리에서 멈추게 된다는 게 피터의 원리예요. 1969년 교육학자 로런스 피터가 반쯤 농담 섞인 책으로 내놓았지만, 실제 영업직 승진 자료로 비슷한 경향을 확인한 연구도 있어요.

People who do well get promoted, and keep rising until they reach a job they can't do well, where they stay. Educator Laurence Peter proposed this half-jokingly in a 1969 book. A study of sales promotions has found a similar pattern in real data.
