2008년 무렵 나온 폴리우레탄 전신 수영복은 몸을 꽉 조이고 물에 더 잘 뜨게 해서 세계 신기록이 쏟아졌어요. 실력보다 수영복 덕이라는 비판이 커지자 국제수영연맹은 2010년부터 이런 소재와 전신 디자인을 금지했어요. 그래서 '기술 도핑'이라는 말까지 나왔어요.
