올빼미는 어떻게 고개를 뒤까지 돌릴까
올빼미 고개 돌리기
올빼미는 눈이 머리뼈에 고정돼 있어 눈알을 굴리지 못하는 대신, 목뼈가 사람보다 두 배쯤 많아 고개를 한쪽으로 270도 가까이 돌려요. 목을 크게 비틀어도 뇌로 가는 피가 끊기지 않도록 혈관 구조도 특별해요.

An owl's eyes are fixed in its skull and can't roll, but it has about twice as many neck vertebrae as we do and can turn its head nearly 270 degrees. Special blood vessel features keep blood flowing to the brain even when the neck twists that far.
