쇠는 왜 붉게 녹이 슬까
쇠가 녹스는 이유
철이 물과 산소를 함께 만나면 천천히 반응해서 붉은 녹(산화철)이 돼요. 바닷가처럼 소금기가 있으면 반응이 더 빨라요. 녹은 부스러져 떨어져서 안쪽까지 계속 녹이 번지니, 칠이나 기름으로 막아 줘요.

When iron meets water and oxygen together, it slowly turns into red rust (iron oxide). Salt, like near the sea, speeds it up. Rust flakes off and exposes more metal, so paint or oil is used to block it.
