새벽이나 초저녁에만 유난히 반짝이는 별
새벽의 금성
달 다음으로 밝은 그 '별'은 대개 금성이에요. 금성은 지구보다 해에 가까이 돌아서 늘 해 근처에 있어요. 그래서 한밤중엔 못 보고, 해 뜨기 전 동쪽이나 해 진 뒤 서쪽 하늘에서만 보여요.

That 'star' brighter than anything but the moon is usually Venus. Venus orbits closer to the sun than Earth, so it always stays near the sun in the sky. That's why you see it only in the east before sunrise or the west after sunset, never at midnight.
