Seeing the space station · That bright dot zipping across the night sky
A bright, steady dot crossing the sky in a few minutes is often the International Space Station. It's visible just after sunset or before sunrise, when the ground is dark but sunlight still reaches it high up. Apps tell you when it will pass.
