여러 사람의 얼굴 사진을 컴퓨터로 겹쳐 평균을 낸 얼굴은, 섞인 원래 얼굴 대부분보다 더 매력적이라는 평가를 받아요. 1990년 랭글루아와 로그먼이 보여 줬고, 섞는 얼굴이 많을수록 더 매력적으로 보였어요. 낯익고 균형 잡힌 모습에 끌리기 때문이라는 설명이 많아요.

Averageness in faces · Why blending faces makes them more attractive
A computer average of many faces is rated more attractive than most of the faces that went into it. Langlois and Roggman showed this in 1990, and attractiveness rose as more faces were blended. A common explanation is that we're drawn to familiar, balanced features.
