지난 일을 실제 겪을 때보다 더 좋게 기억하는 경향이에요. 1997년 미첼 연구진은 유럽 여행, 추수감사절 휴가, 3주 자전거 여행을 간 사람들에게 여행 전·중·후의 느낌을 물었는데, 여행 중보다 다녀온 뒤 평가가 더 좋았어요. '그때가 좋았지'라는 말이 자주 나오는 이유예요.

We remember past events more fondly than we felt them at the time. In 1997, Mitchell and colleagues asked people about a Europe trip, a Thanksgiving break, and a three-week bike trip before, during, and after, and ratings afterward beat those during. It's why 'the good old days' feel so good.
