In English
The misinformation effect · How one word in a question can rewrite a memory
Information heard after an event blends into the original memory. In Loftus's 1974 study, people asked how fast cars were going when they 'smashed' gave higher speeds than with 'hit', and more later recalled broken glass that wasn't there. It's why eyewitness testimony is handled carefully.
