주의를 두지 않은 곳에선 꽤 큰 변화도 놓치는 현상이에요. 1998년 미국 실험에서 길을 묻던 사람이 문짝이 지나가는 사이 다른 사람으로 바뀌었는데, 길을 알려 주던 사람 절반쯤이 눈치채지 못했어요. 틀린 그림 찾기가 어려운 것도 같은 이유예요.

When your attention is elsewhere, even big changes slip past. In a 1998 study, a person asking for directions was swapped for someone else while a door was carried between them, and about half the helpers didn't notice. It's why spot-the-difference puzzles are hard.
