시계를 딱 봤는데 초침이 멈춘 것 같은 그거
멈춘 시계 착시
눈을 휙 돌려 시계를 보면 첫 1초가 유난히 길게 느껴지는데, 이걸 '크로노스타시스'라고 해요. 눈이 움직이는 동안의 흐릿한 장면을 뇌가 지우고, 새로 본 장면으로 그 시간을 채우기 때문이에요. 그래서 처음 본 초침이 더 오래 머문 것처럼 느껴져요.

Chronostasis · Why the clock's second hand seems frozen
When you glance at a clock, the first second can seem to last too long; this is chronostasis. Your brain edits out the blur from your eye movement and fills that time with the new view. So the second hand seems to linger.
