눈물이 짠 이유
눈물은 피 속 액체 성분에서 걸러져 나와서 소금기가 들어 있어요. 이 염분 덕분에 눈 표면 세포가 붓지 않고 제 모양을 지켜요. 맨물로 눈을 오래 씻으면 따가운 것도 이 때문이에요.
