서열 위치 효과
여러 개를 차례로 외우면 맨 앞과 맨 뒤는 잘 기억나고 중간은 잘 잊혀요. 앞쪽은 되풀이할 시간이 많아 오래 남고(초두 효과), 뒤쪽은 방금 들어서 머릿속에 남아 있기 때문이에요(최신 효과). 장보기 목록에서 중간 물건을 빼먹는 게 이 때문이에요.

The serial position effect · Why you only remember the start and end of a list
When you memorize a list, the first and last items stick while the middle fades. Early items get more rehearsal (the primacy effect), and the last ones are still fresh in mind (the recency effect). It's why the middle of a shopping list is what gets forgotten.
